The Surface of a City
Urban Patterns is a series that explores the artificial shapes that arise within cities. Mundane, extravagant, modern, and classical buildings alike can contribute to the creation of these uniquely urban patterns. Interesting shapes and colors are formed through the reflection of one building into another. Rough brick compliments smooth glass panels which transition gradually in a gradient. Warm tones in a stone building clash with cool blues in the glass of another. Urban Patterns is a demonstration of how buildings that are built in isolation of one another can be more related and interactive than anticipated.
