Kevin Chan began learning digital photography in his junior year of high school. Starting with an entry-level Nikon D3100, he learned to utilize each and every button, switch, and control on the camera. Leaving the camera on auto mode would defeat the purpose of a DSLR. He also did what few dare or care to do: read the manual. With an adequate understanding of photography, he upgraded to a Nikon D5300 and 18-140mm kit lens. Shortly after he began shooting primarily with fast primes, his favorite being the nifty-fifty f/1.8 manual focus lens.
