Coral gets its vibrant color from tiny organisms called zooxanthellae. Unfortunately, global warming has expelled zooxanthellae from the coral, causing the coral to starve and turn white. This phenomena is called coral bleaching, and so far we have lost 20% of the world's coral, with 60% of the coral at immediate risk for loss as well. Become more environmentally conscious, understand your carbon footprint, and help save our coral reef from destruction!
